Winter Park 2018-19 Season

KEWAUNEE, WI - It's almost time to welcome visitors back to Winter Park in Kewaunee County for another season of skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing and snowshoeing.

Staff with the Kewaunee County Promotions & Recreation Department are excited to share that the park may be open before the holidays.

"Our goal is to open the weekend before Christmas, so we can welcome visitors during winter break," says Dave Myers, Kewaunee County Promotions & Recreation Director  "If Mother Nature keeps cooperating with us, we should have enough snow made very soon to start grooming our hills."

Winter Park in Kewaunee County is coming off of a record breaking season, welcoming 11,073 visitors from 23 states in just nine-weeks from Dec.  2017 - Feb.  2018.

"People look forward to coming to Winter Park so much that we start getting inquires in November on when we plan to open," says Jennifer Gonzalez, Kewaunee County Tourism Coordinator.  "The sooner that we can open, the more fun that can be had, so we have staff working around the clock to make it happen."

Winter Park plans to open the weekend of Dec.  22-23, 2018 to the public, but will make the announcement on its Facebook page, Winter Park - Kewaunee County and for those who don't have Facebook, Visit Kewaunee County recommends calling the 24/7 Kewaunee County Promotions & Recreation hotline at (920) 388-7199 for updates and conditions.
