The Salmon Are Running in Kewaunee County!

It’s salmon spawning season in Kewaunee County, and the C.D.  “Buzz” Besadny Anadromous Fish Facility is the perfect place to witness this remarkable natural event.  Each fall, thousands of coho salmon and brown trout return to the Kewaunee River to complete their life cycle — an essential part of sustaining healthy fish populations in Lake Michigan.
