All Snowmobile Trails to Close in Kewaunee County

KEWAUNEE COUNTY, WI – All snowmobile trails across Kewaunee County will close on Sunday after opening just over a week ago, due to less than ideal conditions.

There are six snowmobile clubs that groom and maintain the nearly 205 miles of trails as well as give condition updates to Kewaunee County Promotions & Recreation.

Today, all clubs have decided to close their sections due to warmer winter temperatures causing a deteriorating snow base.

Section 1 (Red River): Closed as of 02/23/2020 at 8AM

Section 2 (Algoma, Ahnapee, Pierce, Lincoln): Closed as of 02/23/2020 at 8AM

Section 3 (Luxemburg, Montpelier): Closed as of 02/23/2020 at 8AM

Section 4 (Casco, Franklin, Kewaunee, West Kewaunee): Closed as of 02/23/2020 at 8AM
