New Bruemmer Park Message Centers Display Visitor Information
KEWAUNEE, WI – The Kewaunee County Promotions & Recreation Department has installed six new outdoor message centers at Bruemmer Park, E4280 CTH F, Kewaunee, for visitors.
Signage includes, park rules, trail information, and maps for the Ahnapee State Trail as well as the Bruemmer Park Hiking Trails, which were once a hidden treasure of the park, and are now highlighted with a map legend that covers three different routes.
The legend shows the Quarry Trail, marked green and 1.35 miles, the River Trail, marked blue and 1.23 miles, and the Zoo Loop, marked yellow and 0.49 miles.
Visitors will also be able to find parking areas and their specific location on the map.
“Bruemmer Park is really transforming with the new improvements at the zoo, and with more people visiting this park in recent years than ever before, we find it important to make sure that our visitors are fully aware of all the outdoor recreational opportunities here at the park,” said Dave Myers, Kewaunee County Promotion & Recreation Director. “These message centers will also be useful during winter for those who like to visit the park to enjoy silent sports like snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.”
The Promotions & Recreation Department would like to remind visitors that pets are not allowed at Bruemmer Park Zoo, per County ordinance Chapter 8.08, even on the trails.
