Fundraising Underway for Zoo

Big Plans for Bruemmer Park Zoo
KEWAUNEE, WI - Fundraising is underway to improve Bruemmer Park Zoo.
The Zoological Society of Kewaunee County is working with the Kewaunee County Promotions & Recreation Department to expand the zoo with a master plan that includes an environmental education center and new animal exhibits.
The estimated cost is $1.5 million. So far, the non-profit has helped raise $355,000, which includes a grant awarded by the Green Bay Packers Foundation in the amount of $7,000.
Recently completed projects at Bruemmer Park Zoo are an updated habitat for the bobcats, new entrance sign, additional green space and metal artwork.
WBAY TV-2 spoke with Kewaunee County's Promotions & Recreation Director Dave Myers and the Zoological Society of Kewaunee County President Pam Zander about the master plan and the ZoupArt fundraiser on Feb. 23rd.
