Fall Colors in Kewaunee County
KEWAUNEE COUNTY, WI - Fall has arrived in Kewaunee County and the colors of the season are bright and bountiful.
The Kewaunee County Star-News interviewed Kewaunee County Public Information Officer & Tourism Coordinator Jennifer Gonzalez to get the scoop on the best locations to enjoy the beauty of the season.
Gonzalez suggests a drive along the lakeshore or down the County's designated "Rustic Road" route marked by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation with brown signs in the Town of Montpelier off of STH 29 and Hrabik Road. It then winds down Cherneyville Road to Sleepy Hollow Road and to Pine Grove Road before connecting with CTH AB. This route is also near the popular Parallel 44 Vineyard & Winery as well as Krohn's Dairy Store.
And, the Ahnapee State Trail as well as County parks like Bruemmer Park & Zoo are great places too for fall color adventure.
Currently, Kewaunee County is at about 40% peak and is expected to reach full peak around the second week of October. Follow fall color progress in Kewaunee County and across the state on the Travel Wisconsin website's "Fall Color Report".
