Fish Facility Open House Cancelled

KEWAUNEE, WI - The annual open house at the C.D.  Buzz Besadny Anadromous Fish Facility (BAFF) in Kewaunee has been cancelled for October.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has cancelled all open house events at fish facilities across the State for 2020 due to concerns of COVID-19.

The annual event, which typically takes place the first Saturday of October at BAFF, located at N3884 Ransom Moore Lane, Kewaunee, usually attracts hundreds of people who come to watch the salmon swim up the Kewaunee River.

Other activites typically include a demonstration on salmon egg collection, horse-drawn carriage rides, sturgeon release, and facility tours.
