Bruemmer Park Zoo Closed to Public until Further Notice

KEWAUNEE, WI – The Kewaunee County Promotions & Recreation Department has temporarily closed the lower portion of Bruemmer Park Zoo to the public effective Monday, March 23, 2020 to help lessen the spread of COVID-19.

“We’ve noticed more people visiting the animals at the zoo since the closures of other public places have been ordered and now unfortunately we need to take action to also prevent public gatherings of 10 or more people, said Dave Myers, Director of Kewaunee County Promotions & Recreation Department.  “During this closure, essential animal care will continue to be provided by our park staff on a daily basis, including meals, so please do not attempt to feed the animals.”

The rest of Bruemmer Park as well as the hiking trails remain open to the public at this time.  The Promotions & Recreation Department asks that visitors please remember NO PETS are allowed at Bruemmer Park.
