Winter Park Installs Magic Carpet

KEWAUNEE, WI - The newest feature at Winter Park in Kewaunee County is ready for snow.

The Magic Carpet at the six-lane snow tubing hill is what will now be taking visitors up the hill with their tubes.  The standing conveyor belt lift has replaced the park's tow rope system that will eventually be repurposed at the beginner's ski hill.

Now, for those wondering when Winter Park will open for the season?  You must stay tuned.

Although, the Kewaunee County Promotion & Recreation Department makes their own snow for Winter Park, there is no set date as to when the park will open each year.  The snow-making process really depends on the weather conditions and temperatures provided by Mother Nature.

But, once the park does open, the cost to slide down their massive hill is just $8 for two hours of snow tubing fun for the general public on Saturdays and Sundays.

Action 2 News anchor/reporter Jeff Alexander has the story on the excitement that is building ahead of the next season.
